Sicinius!-Brutus!-Coriolanus!-Citizens!
Peace, peace, peace! -Stay, hold, piece!"
Act III.1.86-88
When I first read the passage before these lines, it reminded me too much of the end of every tragedy we have read so far. Everyone is shouting at each other, someone is listing out what they did to destroy another, and people are fighting and crowding. Then, abruptly they ALL say peace, peace.... this is what I found odd. In all the fighting and yelling, I would think someone could have stabbed a noble or tribune or citizen and thus started another pathway to total disaster. In a matter of one stage direction, they decide to forget what they are physically fighting over and decide to talk it out and then they start fighting once again. I think they may have suffered some brain damage.
